At Torke Family Coffee Roasters, giving back is a core part of who we are as a family-owned and operated business.   Through our “Every Cup Gives” initiative, we are able to help those in need through the sales of Torke Coffee, teas, and products.  In the wake of the recent pandemic, we’ve turned our attention to support local food banks and our health care workers on the front lines.    

When an order for two thousand pounds of freshly roasted coffee was canceled, due to the pandemic, we acted quickly to use the opportunity to help our community. We decided to repurpose the coffee by donating it to healthcare workers on the frontlines in our local hospitals. The blend was fittingly named the “Stay Home Roast.”

But we wanted to do more. Through donating time at a local food bank, Heather Torke, wife of our President Jay Torke, learned many food banks have to purchase most of their salable goods and immediately took action to help. Within a couple of days, the Stay Home Roast was extended to be a consumer-packaged product, and for each unit sold, we are donating $1 to a local food bank.

“Ultimately, we were inspired to give back to our loyal customers who were always there to support us during prosperous times,” said Jay Torke.
